Matt grew up playing at Horton Park Golf Club and Epsom Downs Golf Club, starting as a keen junior golfer with a first handicap of 20, before going on to be a two time Club Champion at Horton and Club Champion at Epsom.
His love of golf was soon combined with his passion for teaching, as Matt began junior golf coaching at several local schools. Enjoying the school's coaching, but wanting to progress to teaching in a club environment, the PGA qualification was the obvious next step.
A few years on, Matt has utilized all the experience he's gained throughout the PGA coaching programmes to develop his own unique way of improving junior golf.
Having helped build the junior programme at Horton Park, Matt progressed into full time coaching following a number of parents getting jealous of the improvement they were seeing in their children's games, and wanting the same for their golf.
Years of coaching children has given Matt the ability to make what can be a complex game seem very simple for people of all ages, helping everyone to enjoy and improve.
If coaching juniors or adults,
Matt’s passion is taking new and improving golfers, at any stage of their golf, through every aspect of their game, so they have the understanding to lower their scores and handicaps.
Whether you want to join a golf club to gain a handicap and start competing, take a bit of money from your mates at the weekend, or be able to accept those invites to the work golf day, Matt will get your game where you want it to be.
