Adult golf lessons that fit your game.
Private coaching, beginner groups, playing lessons and indoor coaching across Surrey. Choose the type of lesson you need, then the venue that works for you.
Choose the style of coaching that fits your golf.
ME Golf Academy offers adult golf lessons across several Surrey venues, with different options depending on where you want to play and what you want to improve. You can book one-to-one private coaching, beginner group sessions, on-course playing lessons or indoor coaching during the winter.
The easiest way to choose is to start with your goal. If you want individual attention, private coaching is the most flexible route. If you are completely new to golf and would prefer to learn in a relaxed social setting, the beginner groups at Hampton Court are designed for exactly that. If your issue is scoring and decision-making rather than your swing, an on-course playing lesson may be more useful than another hour on the range.
Coaching is available with Matt Edgar at Sandown Park, Hampton Court and Pure Swing Hersham, with Gareth Dredge also offering private and group coaching at Hampton Court. Adult coaching at Leatherhead is available by enquiry.
Four clear ways to improve your golf.
You do not need to know which coach or venue to choose before you start. Pick the type of lesson that sounds most useful and we will point you to the right location.

A few common questions before you book.
Do I need to be a member of a golf club?
No. You can book coaching without being a member of the venue. Many adults start with lessons before they ever join a club.
Can complete beginners book a private lesson?
Yes. Private coaching is often the simplest way to get started because the lesson can cover grip, setup, basic technique, equipment and how to practise at your own pace.
Which venue is best for adult lessons?
Sandown is a strong all-round option for private coaching in Esher. Hampton Court is ideal if you want private coaching, beginner groups or playing lessons. Pure Swing Hersham is the best indoor option, particularly through winter. Leatherhead adult coaching is available by enquiry.
Is a 30-minute or 60-minute lesson better?
A 30-minute lesson works well for a focused check-up or one specific issue. A 60-minute lesson gives more time to diagnose the pattern, make changes and test them properly, so it is usually the better choice for a first lesson or a bigger technical change.
Start with the lesson that matches what you want from your golf.
